4. Arrival

Please arrive around 10 minutes before your booked session.

Late arrivals may lose some of their session time and, for wheel throwing sessions, may not be able to join once instruction has begun.

5. Age Policy

Pottery Painting

Suitable for ages 6 years and over.

Potter's Wheel

Suitable for ages 8 years and over.

Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the session. Parents and guardians remain responsible for children in their care at all times.

6. Accessibility

Our upstairs studio is not wheelchair accessible.

If you require accessible access, please let us know when booking. Our downstairs studio is fully accessible and, where possible, we will relocate your pottery painting session downstairs.

Please contact us before your visit if you have any accessibility requirements and we will do our best to accommodate you.

7. During Your Visit

We ask all visitors to:

  • Follow staff instructions at all times.

  • Respect other customers.

  • Treat studio equipment with care.

  • Wear suitable clothing that can get messy.

  • Tie back long hair during wheel sessions.

  • Remove rings, watches and loose jewellery before using the pottery wheel.

Anyone behaving in a manner that is unsafe, abusive or disruptive may be asked to leave without refund.

8. Pottery & Kiln Firing

Pottery is handmade and every piece is unique.

Although every care is taken, pottery can occasionally crack, warp or be damaged during drying or kiln firing due to the nature of ceramics.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee that every item will survive the firing process or that colours will appear exactly as expected after firing.

Where damage occurs due to an issue within our control, we will discuss appropriate options with you.

9. Collection

Finished pottery is usually ready:

  • Pottery Painting: approximately 3–4 weeks

  • Potter's Wheel Sessions: approximately 6 weeks

These times are estimates and may vary depending on kiln schedules.

We kindly ask that finished pottery is collected within 1 month of notification.

Items left longer than this may be donated or disposed of due to limited storage space.

10. Collection & Responsibility

Once your pottery has been collected from the studio, responsibility for its safe handling, transport and storage passes to you.

We cannot accept responsibility for accidental damage, breakages or loss after items have left our premises.

If you choose to have your pottery posted, this is done at your request. While we package items carefully, we cannot accept responsibility for damage or delays caused during postal or courier delivery.

11. Mobile "Paint a Mug" Events

Our mobile pottery painting service is available for bookings of 10 painters or more.

We provide:

From time to time we may take photographs within the studio or at events for use on our website and social media.

If you do not wish to appear in photographs, please let a member of staff know before your session begins.

13. Personal Property

Personal belongings are brought into the studio at the owner's risk.

We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our negligence.

14. Health & Safety

Our activities involve paints, water and ceramic materials.

Customers agree to follow all safety instructions provided by staff.

If you have any allergies, medical conditions or accessibility requirements that may affect your participation, please let us know before your session.

We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or

  • any rights you have under UK consumer law.

Subject to the above, our liability for any claim arising from your booking or attendance shall be limited to the amount paid for the relevant session.
